Step Up Colorado

Wear your mask and keep your distance.

STEP UP COLORADO is the state’s new COVID-19 informational campaign that encourages Coloradans to follow public health guidelines to reduce the spread of the virus. The campaign asks Coloradans to wear their masks and keep their distance, because these are some of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus.

STEP UP COLORADO is for all Coloradans, but the campaign goes a step further, recognizing that various communities have been more affected, or are at greater risk of adverse health outcomes. To that end, STEP UP COLORADO has identified five priority populations for additional efforts. These include people over age 65, young adults 18 to 24, Hispanic/Latino Coloradans and Black Coloradans.

To ensure the campaign is relevant across the state,  local stakeholders helped inform the campaign. Additionally, 60 community influencers from diverse backgrounds of many races, nationalities, ages, genders, and abilities help share information with their communities and followers. In combination with more traditional media efforts, influencers will ensure the broad reach of the campaign.
The campaign will run until December 30, 2020. Until then, statewide surveys will be completed every thirty days to monitor how the campaign is doing.

STEP UP Colorado was developed concurrently with its Spanish counterpart, “Échale Ganas Colorado.” Below you can access creative assets from both campaigns.
